Mid Year Lookbook

Finally got the time to share an outfit post! I know I have a lot of catching up to do but I honestly have been so busy for the past few months that I only either blog for work and not the things I really wanted to put out there you know. But I am slowing trying to keep things up (still looking forward to sharing my Hongkong posts!) but now let me share a lookbook that I have been wearing for the past couple of weeks. You have already seen all of this on my Instagram (follow me if you haven’t already!) and I must say, most of these looks are experimental compared to my usual go-to looks but still incorporating my own version on each of one of them. I hope you enjoy this not so curated lookbook! haha!

Polka Dots Jumpsuit

It was a weekend and the advance screening of Ant Man and the wasp when I wore this one out. I wanted to be as comfortable as possible and be warm at the same time because cinema tends to be so cold so I thought this denim polka dots jumpsuit was the perfect piece to wear. Tbh, it kinda reminds me of that safety jumpsuit that mechanics wear (if im not mistaken) right? Although it is such a statement but effortless to dress up, I still hate the fact we need to be naked every time we go try and take a pee. TMI HAHA

Tropical Vibes

I recently bought this top and I have been re-wearing it since then. How can you not? Aside from the fact that it can be styled countless of ways, this printed button down specifically has the perfect crop, making it look more good esp when tying a knot in front. The material also is very light and breathable, thus perfect for Cebu’s bipolar weather; and obviously the print, nothing more to say to that. I got a similar top in blue too!

Monochromatic

One of the useful trick I do when I have those “nothing to wear” days is go for a monochromatic look. It doesn’t have to be in the shades of gray and black but going for the same color tones, tints and shades of a single hue. What I usually start when I have nothing to wear is pick a single item in your closet and work from there. In this case I have my pinstripe slacks that I wanted to wear. I figured my boyfriend’s shirt (which is obviously over sized for me) was in the same color shade in gray and would fit for the look I was going for. I just tie the extra cloth in front to somehow accentuate my waist and viola! Finish it off with some silver dangling earrings, a bag and sandals in black.

Shade of Red

It was a simple afternoon hearing mass when I wore this out. Just a simple red sleeveless top that’s not too revealing and paired it with my light red (almost pink) and white vertical stripe culottes. Finished it off with my floral embroidered loafers from Topshop. Very comfy!

Stripes and Denims

We all know stripes and denims always go well together but I played around with a few details in this look to make it even more interesting. Aside from the usual horizontal stripes, my top is in a vertical stripes, has a ruffle sleeves and ribbon tie up front.
