If our country were to experience Fall/Autumn Season, this is probably one of the many looks I would wear plus a light scarf or coat on top to keep me warm on chilly nights.
As much as I would like to play with layers during this time of the year, unfortunately for me living in the tropical country like the Philippines, doing so is almost impossible. For me Fall season is equivalent to having rainy season here in the PH. Although not the most fun part (because it tends to flood everywhere here) but It is the only time of the year that we get to show off our favorite jackets and light coats out!
Although living in the Philippines where its summer all year round, this still doesn’t stop the fashionistas in us to recreate our own version of fall outfits. Below are some of the tips I’ve come up to achieve that fall inspired look:
1. Fall Colors
When we think of Fall/Autumn Season, we immediately think of the colors yellow, orange, green or anything neutral like brown, beige, taupe. As well as dark colors like black, navy blue and burgundy. So even if we don’t really experience Fall weather, we still get to achieve a similar look when playing around with these colors.
2. Boots
Rainy days calls for them boots. Fall fashion is very much associated with anything boots as this helps us keep our feet warm. But in the Philippines, it is appropriate to wear one esp during the rainy days to protect our feet from getting all wet. I obviously didn’t wear boots on my outfit in this post but I did wear my pumps (similar here & here ) in Burgundy color which still falls under that fall hue and it matches my look too!
3. Light Coats AND JACKETS
When its rainy and gloomy outside, most of us take this opportunity to layer on our fave jackets and light coats. Top it with a beret hat that’s very trendy right now or a floppy hat and you’re good to go!
