Back in this city and what a way to start off this trip than by checking in at one of the country’s 5-star hotel – Kowloon Shangri-La.
Got a few of my photos sorted and finally I can start sharing to you our latest trip to Hong Kong just last month. First up is our lovely accommodation at Kowloon Shangri-La. We arrived in HongKong late in the afternoon and after getting ourselves settled at the airport, we directly hopped into an A21 City Bus to make our way to Tsim Tsa Tsui area where the hotel is located.
I have been to Mactan Shangri-La Hotel here in Cebu a couple of times already in the past few years and having experienced staying in their luxury resort, I honestly have high expectations on what Kowloon Shangri-La has to offer and indeed It did not disappoint.
THE VIEW
We stayed in a Deluxe Harbour View Room and I swear the view of HongKong Island and its skyscrapers is unbelievable. Imagine waking up to this view every single day during your stay here. I was in Awe.
THE ROOM
We got a little surprise from the hotel the moment we stepped in our room. Aside from the complimentary welcome fruits, chocolates and other sweet treats, one thing that I love about staying here is they have not just one but a lot of shopping privileges from nearby shopping centers like T-Galleria (which is a walking distance from the hotel) as well as Harbour City Shopping Mall.
The room was very spacious too! I swear I can hold a mini dance rehearsal for my girls haha
THE BATHROOM
Can we all pause for a bit and appreciate the beauty that is this marble bathroom? AND! it is super spacious as well! #GOALS
The AMENITIES and EXCELLENT Hospitality
BINOCULARS
Of course who wouldn’t want to see what’s on the other side of the island? Every Harbour view room has its own binoculars for guests to enjoy! How cool is that? This is just one of great amenities that they have.
True Story: So the moment we stepped in our room, few minutes later we tried using the binoculars only to find out that the left lens is a bit broken. We called room service and told them the situation and asked if they could replace it. A woman came to confirm and left for a replacement. Few minutes in, a man came knocking on our room and said that they couldn’t replace a new one that night because all the rooms are full and there were no extra binoculars. He then hands us a box of chocolates as an apology gift.
I mean, they could just get away with telling me there were no more extra binoculars and I would totally understand and just be okay with it but no, they went on an extra mile to give us a box of chocolates which I appreciate the most. Very thoughtful of them. I don’t know about you but its the little things like this that matter the most and has great impact on guests like me and will always be remembered.
THE HANDY PHONE
Every guestroom and suite includes a smart phone with complimentary services and features that lets you enjoy seamless connectivity. You can use this as a WiFi hotspot and can bring this with you while exploring the city of HongKong for the whole duration of your stay. You can even use this to call overseas with no charge at all! How cool!
JASMINE TEA
Kowloon Shangri-la wants guests to have a taste of their culture by having a taste of their famous Jasmine tea. Don’t worry, its free!
That’s it for our lovely room at Kowloon Shangri-La. Enjoyed every second of our stay! No wonder Kowloon Shangri-La is a 5 Star Hotel! I have yet to share our breakfast experience and the complete privileges this hotel has to offer and that deserves another blog post. Stay tuned for more!
