Got to try the newest chicken place in the metro and yes, I am talking about Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar.
I am a huge fan of chicken but honestly, I haven’t heard of Peri-Peri, not until I saw a post from one of my friends just recently. I believe they had a soft opening a few weeks back but I was lucky enough to be invited during the grand launch last week, January 9, 2017.
The first restaurant was in Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila in the year 2006 and over the years, they already have 11 branches nationwide, making this branch their 12th and first of many in Cebu City.

They wanted a restaurants that has a fast casual concept dining with affordable dishes that is served within five to ten minutes without sacrificing the full restaurant setting in terms of ambiance, quality and services. That’s the reason why Peri-Peri came to be when they first opened it in Manila.
Their branch here in Cebu can accommodate up to 150 people and they also have two available private function rooms good for 25 people.
Now aside from the fast dining concept this restaurant has to offer, another thing to look up to is the FOOD, of course!
This grilled charcoal chicken has got to be their signature dish. Marinated for 24 hours in a unique blend of various herbs and spices that are actually brought all the way from Africa! One of the main reason this homegrown brand expanded their reach in the restaurant industry.
That doesn’t end there yet because every order of chicken at Peri-Peri comes with their eight signature sauces (referring to the photo above) this includes:
Poulet Vous Cajun Remoulade – a spiced mayonnaise dip
Tokyo Tori’s Sweet Soy – teriyaki style sweet sauce
Sheik Chic’s Harissa Exotica – an exotic blend of spices
Apachee’kn Mesquite BBQ – somky sweet and tasty
Fowl-Mouthed Chili Peppa’
Cluckula’s Garlic Brew
Hen Dynasty’s Hoisin Sesame – sweet and tangy
Ka Tuka’s Honey Pinakurat
Peri-Peri doesn’t only limit its offers to chicken. They also have other items on the menu like nachos, java rice to pair with your chicken, pizzas, pastas, BBQ Back Ribs, milkshakes and desserts.
This Shrimp Aglio Olio pasta was bombbbbb! I would definitely order this on my next visit!
Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar is located at Mandaue City’s newest lifestyle hub, Meerea High Street along Ouano Avenue, North Reclemation Area (beside Total Gas Station) and is open daily from 10am until 10pm. You might wanna check their menu here.
