Lets take a break from all my Taiwan related posts and lemme share to you another love of mine, FOOD! Who wouldn’t love food? Especially when it comes to PIZZA? ahhhhhhhh guilty pleasures.

I was still in Taiwan when I heard about a new pizza place called “Pizza Republic (pick + mix) by Giuseppe Genco” back in my hometown, Cebu. It is not just an ordinary pizza place because aside from getting served with pizza (of course), Pizza Republic gives you the opportunity to pick and mix ingredients of your choice! How cool is that? A DIY (Do-It-Yourself) PIZZA? Are you kidding me? I knew right then and there that I have to try this out once I step my foot in Cebu, ASAP!

These are the simple steps on making your own pizza for over 60 toppings to choose from:

1. 10″ dough(which is btw, prepared in front of you)

2. choose your sauce :
red, white or even both!

3. choose your cheese :
Mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, etc.

4. choose your meat :
ground bacon, beef longganiza, Hungarian, corned beef, cheese sausage, salami, etc.

5. choose your veggies :
onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, etc.

6. choose your herbs and spices.

7. pay at the counter. all for 245php per pizza!
then you’ll be given a number and receipt to claim your pizza when its ready!

not bad eh?

I don’t exactly remember every ingredient we chose on our DIY pizza but here’s what I can remember : red sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Salami, ground bacon, cheese sausage, hungarian, both mushrooms available (cz there were 2 kinds of mushroom), green bell pepper, tomatoes, white onions, olive oil and basil to top it of!

Tip: Remember that the taste of your pizza will depend on how you pick your ingredients! So make sure that every ingredients will compliment each other! 😉
