My #RideYourWayToFun Experience with Grab Philippines!

Finally got the time to share a few of what went down during my Sinulog weekend and my experience with Grab Philippines was unforgettable for sure!

Cebu’s Sinulog festival, a week-long extravaganza full of bright colors and festive music is the center of the Sto. Niño catholic and cultural celebrations in the Philippines.  It  is also one of the country’s biggest and most anticipated festivals.  Having said this, we all know the struggle of transportation especially with so much tourist around the city, getting from point A to B is such a struggle – but not with GRAB.

As a proud partner of the festival two years in a row now, GRAB wants to make sure that Sinulog stays as fun, colorful and rewarding to all their users.

Grab users was given a special promo code “SINULOG” for them to use all throughout the Sinulog week and with every ride taken with Grab, users earns  GrabRewards points, which they can use to redeem exciting offers and freebies.  Festival essentials such as caps, shirts, water bottles and more are up for grabs at the special GrabRewards redemption booth situated at Plaza La Independencia. Using their available GrabRewards points, users are few clicks away from claiming these offers (which btw we experience ourselves!)

#RideYourWayToFun

Ride Your Way to Fun is Grab’s simpler and more fun version of Amazing Race exclusive to media and I was one of the few to be able to join. The game is simple where you visit local tourist destination and Grab’s partner-restaurant where we can unlock offers through Grab Rewards. The price, you ask? A chance to win a trip for 2 to the next Grab Festival, complete with accommodations and pocket money.  Now that’s exciting!

Meet up point was at Bayfront Hotel and we started with a quick breakfast, press con and announcement on what to expect of the said contest. It was also the starting point of the race. Look at us rushing to go down! haha!

The race is by pair just like the original Amazing Race. Luckily my partner Jesse was already a Platinum member (I was not at that time but I am a Platinum member now! Prioritized booking yasss!) so we were  the first to book a Grab ride to our first destination which was at Plaza Independencia.

Issa and Toni came second!

Then came Marco and Doyzkie. They were doing one of the challenges for this stop which was finding a person around the area with the Grab app and take a selfie with him/her!

Next stop is at Fuente circle. This is more of a quick stop. We just need to find this booth and take a photo with it. So funny because this part of the race was trilling for us because we thought that we are still running first place but surprisingly Marco and Doyzkie was already there! But little did they know we had our Grab car waiting for us, so after we had a quick photo we ran to our Grab Car and off we go to the next and last stop!

Last stop was at House of Lechon – one of Grab’s partner-restaurant. Marco and our team arrived at the same time and was that close to the finish line but luckily we still manage to make it on first place! Yayyyy!

Overall the race was so much fun and tbh it was a bit tiring too from running to booking GrabCar to get us from one stop to another, and redeeming grab freebies using our grab points but so worth it! Definitely an unforgettable experience!

What a way to end the race than having Cebu’s famous Lechon right?

YAYYYY! I am really the type of person who has no luck when it comes to raffle prices but honestly this is so much more rewarding to receive because you know how much effort you put into the contest and omg! the price! huhu Thank you so much Grab for the opportunity!

Final dates are also in for our trip to Panagbenga Festival in Baguio and I can not contain my excitement! See you there?

Grab continues to be the preferred transportation option of Filipinos, and wants to be visible in major festivals in the Philippines to show that getting from point A to point B can truly be fun and rewarding. With Grab, the fun and the rewards are here to stay.
