The new SM Woman delivers a new look for the modern woman. This season, the department store private label affords its clientele a game-changing product edit for spring/summer 2017!

Driven by a global perspective and a long-standing history of being a go-to womens wear retailer, the new SM Woman is ready to set a standard that sits above both local and international competition. Keying into consumer behavior, local trends, and a truly global aesthetic, the new SM Woman caters to discerning women of style; women of informed taste, eclectic references and specific influence.

Just last weekend, me alongside with Toni and Ronah, got the chance to participate in an informative and engaging styling session hosted by Blinky De Leon. This is not just a normal styling session but participants will have the chance to bring home freebies + 1,500 worth of SM Gift Certificate.

Blinky takles different cuts, colors and patterns that highlights the five summer fashion trends; Botanical, Stripes, Romantic, Blues and Whites. After which participants are put to test on what they just learned and will hand pick items from Sm Woman’s Summer/Spring Collection and personally style themselves for a total of 20 minutes. A mini fashion show will then take place and announcing of winners afterwards. Sound fun, right?

SM Woman’s new collection is cruise classic resort wear designed for the everyday modern woman. Of optic whites, tropical blues and subtle florals; crushed poplins, sporty synthetics and sheer tulles — the collection boasts a welcoming range of pieces that always cater to every age, shape and lifestyle.

 The Botanical

This look is elevated kitsch of the best kind. It’s swimwear separates tailored in sharp shapes: with only grommets, knotting and ties for detail. Think anything floral and has leaves in it.

The Nautical Set

This collection edges up classic one-piece swim styles with sailor stripes and lace-up detail.

The Romantic Collection

This collection is easy neutrals in flounced black and white bikinis; made poolside chic in sheer embroidered cover-ups cut close to the body.

Blues and Whites

Resort for SM Woman s/s ’17 is a study on volume. It’s generous day dresses segmented with slits; asymmetric flounces paired with cropped ruffle trousers. The poplin collection does well with an exaggerated touch, a constant interplay between pleats and drapery. All-white is reinvented in resort-ready fabrications but still done up in effortless silhouettes and off-shoulder sheathes
