From TOKYO to CEBU! UNIQLO is finally opening its doors to the public tomorrow, October 23, 2015 at the ground floor of The Northwing of SM City Cebu.
Japanese clothing company intends to bring the brand outside of Metro Manila for its 25th store to open in the country and for the first time in the Visayas at SM City Cebu as it rides on the current upswing growth of the retail sector in the Philippines. The global name in Japanese ready-to-wear is also set to open another store in SM City Seaside Cebu by next month, November 26, 2015. Both will carry Uniqlo’s full range of products for men, women, and children.
For those who are not familiar with the brand (like me a few years back, if it wasn’t for my trip to South Korea for winter, which btw their HeatTech was a lifesaver!), UNIQLO pronounced “YOU-nee-klo” is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer. Uniqlo in its website claims to be an innovator in the global apparel industry because of its various product lines that company officials describe as “highly functional and of outstanding quality at an affordable price”. Promoting its “Made for All” philosophy, their underlying objective is to provide casual clothing that is made for all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or any other ways that define an individual.
Last night, during UNIQLO’s pre-opening event, VIP shopping and sake ceremony for the official launch of the store, the press and my fellow Cebu Fashion Bloggers, had the privilege to be one of those who got first dibs of UNIQLO’s fall and winter collection as well as other items they had in store. Here are some of the pictures I took while inside the newly opened store. You will thank me later. 😉
