Sweets and Scents | Seda Central Bloc Cebu’s 3rd Year Anniversary Celebration and Valentines Treat

Seda Central Bloc Cebu celebrated its 3rd Year Anniversary last weekend. We were gathered with the other media friends in an intimate anniversary and pre-valentines treat called “Sweet and Scents”. We got to enjoy a crafty afternoon with them learning how to mold our own chocolates and a DIY activity with Quinn’s Candles and Crafts to create our own scented candles!

But before I share more of that super fun afternoon, you may also join the celebration by availing the following Valentine’s promos:

Now on to our fun afternoon activity. I was invited and really didn’t know what to expect. The invitation only said “Scents and Sweets” which are both something I really like so it got me excited!

We arrived at Seda Central Bloc Cebu and was redirected to one of the convention rooms just behind the lobby. The moment we went in I immediately saw how gorgeous the table set up is! I love everything flowers, so to see a loooong table full of them, I almost couldn’t contain my excitement.

Thrina Alvizo – De La Calzada, Seda Central Bloc’s Director of Sales and Ron Manalag, Hotel Manager of Seda Central Bloc was also there to celebrate with us. They started the mini program the with a quick short message to everyone.

Not too long after, I noticed what’s in front of me. Are we making chocolates?? My family and friends know how I love me some chocolates – you’ll always find one in my bedroom haha!

But yes we are molding our own chocolates!

Here’s my masterpiece! A little messy but not bad as a first timer right?

Next is – SCENTS! Yes you got that right. We are making scented candles!

Although we are kinda cheating here as we had Quinns’s Candles and Craft to help us. She shared the basics of candles and how tedious candle making process is. Quinn’s Candles and Craft is a Cebu homegrown brand that offers all kinds of candles. All their products are homemade in Naga, Cebu and are using imported scents and ingredients for all her candles.

Tadaaaaaaa! We had a quick dinner at Misto and came back with our dried candles! We have to wait for at least 3 days to light this up but I can’t wait for my room to smell good.
