Yep, it’s been 6 years since I clicked the “Publish” button on this blog page and posted my first ever blog post and now we’re here. Wow. Let that sync in..

Six years for me seems like so long time ago especially now that we are all just stuck on the four corners of our home. To be honest, lately I wasn’t as consistent when it comes to blogging (as if I ever was) but throughout these years, we have been introduced into so many platforms that we truly forgot where it all started.

How did you start blogging?

Not sure if I’ve already shared this here but I started blogging way more than 6 years but it was June 13 of 2014 that I made Keiseeeinthecity official. I was in Taipei, Taiwan then spending my summer for two months. It was there where that I brainstormed what my plan of this ‘blog’ that I’m about to put up. My initial intention was really to document my travels and OOTDs so I have something to look back to when I’m old enough.

When did you realize that your blog is growing?

Back then, getting PR kits and being a ‘content creator’ wasn’t really a thing yet – or it was but at least not much for small start up bloggers. Brands wasn’t so into the idea of digital socmed marketing back then so no, of course I didn’t start up wanted to get notice and/or receiving PR gifts to be honest. I just wanted a place where I can write my thoughts away and share random photos that I took. I started to realize that my blog was getting attention when I started receiving invitations from local events here in my city and I don’t know, it just happened. I got to meet people in the marketing/blogging industry along the way that I became friends with until this day. So many good memories since then.

Now do you feel about being nominated for BCBA?

In this pandemic, getting nominated for Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2020 – Style Blog Category was the last thing I’d expect! But to whoever nominated me, know that I am truly grateful and knowing that someone out there is still rooting for me in this space, warms my heart.

How do I feel? It felt great when I first heard about it. It also really makes me happy to be nominated in the Style Category because this is really what this blog initially is all about – to share my ‘outfit of the day’. Though now I can say that it has already transitioned to a lifestyle blog, style and fashion is still what I am passionate about.

And of course, being nominated with fellow style bloggers, Joymie and Issaplease? What more can I say? I already feel like a winner just being a finalist alongside these beautiful ladies!

What is BCBA?

For those of you that don’t know, Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) is a yearly Awarding Ceremony of Cebu-based Bloggers. BCBA is the only and pioneering award giving body that recognizes the existence of blogs, bloggers and social media influencers or movers in Cebu’s blogosphere. It acknowledges the existence and importance of Cebu Bloggers in the Visayas and in the Philippines. BCBA aims to recognize the finest blogs by Cebuanos and Cebu-based bloggers which are at par even with their foreign counterparts.
